Vineyard health

From the beginning we have been very conscientious about the health of our vineyards.

Our experience has taught us that careful canopy management should result in little requirement for the use of sprays. This has particularly been the case with our Fromm Vineyard which has been free of systemic sprays for many years and now with the advent of mechanical undervine weeders is now weed spray free as well.

We have been slowly learning about biodynamic practices, we feel that this is an area that we are quietly growing into, each year gaining a better understanding of what works well in our own vineyards. Recently we made a conscious decision to run Fromm Vineyard as a fully organic vineyard, with the assistance of biodynamic practices alongside. We hope, as our knowledge and experience grows, to be able to extend an organic/biodynamic program across all of the vineyards where we grow fruit. The future of Fromm lies in caring for the health of our vineyards, our environment and of the people who work together with us.
